Eyal Levy Lidor

"My designation is to relieve suffering and pain and promote natural healing of body and mind."

"The Health Explorer" was established with the aim of reducing suffering and pain, raising awareness of health and wellbeing, and presenting the great variety of possibilities that exist to achieve quality of life.

I believe that finding balance should be personalized and attentive to one's lifestyle. A big change starts with a small step.

After thorough questioning and diagnosis, I choose the treatment strategy and techniques I'll use and build a treatment program with my patient. The satisfaction I feel when I manage to help someone who is in a lot of pain is tremendous — helping others gain back balance and wellbeing is wonderful, and it is my life's designation.

22 years of private practice, 17 years in public health care, and 4 years working with one of the top physiotherapy clinics in Israel — teaching and helping develop the next generation of therapists, working with children, youth, professionals and amateur athletes, and working with the elderly — have given me a lot of experience. Each and every person is unique in their own way and is entitled to personalized care.

In these modern times we tend to forget and neglect ourselves. If we pay attention to our personal wellbeing, our entire surroundings will benefit as well.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Where TCM most often complements a training routine at FITQOR.

Pain Management & Orthopedic Disorders

A multidisciplinary approach combining acupuncture, manual therapy, exercises, and guided movement to address herniated and bulged discs, and inflammation in muscles, tendons, and joints — targeting the underlying cause, not just the symptoms.

Sports Injuries

Specialized care for amateur and professional athletes, drawing on years at a leading Israeli sports injury center and time spent treating professional fighters in Thailand — with a strong focus on injury prevention alongside treatment.

Respiratory Disorders

Acupuncture, Shiatsu massage, and breathing techniques to support recovery from colds, flu, persistent coughing, asthma, allergies, sinusitis, and post-COVID symptoms, recognizing the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing.

Digestive Disorders

Acupuncture paired with focused nutrition guidance to support inflammatory bowel conditions, IBS, and stress-related digestive imbalances, alongside our Nutrition team.

OUR TREATMENTS

A range of complementary techniques, matched to your needs — each session runs approximately 50 minutes.

1

Breathing Techniques

Guided breathwork rooted in Chinese medicine, used to calm the nervous system, ease tension, and support recovery between training sessions.

2

Cupping

Suction cups placed on the skin to boost circulation, release muscle tension, and support the body's natural recovery process.

3

Exposure to Cold

Controlled cold exposure incorporated into your treatment plan to support recovery, reduce inflammation, and build resilience.

4

Laser Acupuncture

A needle-free alternative using low-intensity laser light to stimulate acupuncture points — a gentle option well suited to children and needle-averse patients, supporting pain relief and reduced inflammation.

5

Motion

Guided movement work built into your session to restore mobility, ease stiffness, and reinforce the benefits of your treatment.

6

Shiatsu

A Japanese bodywork technique rooted in Chinese medicine, combining acupressure, stretching, and rhythmic pressure along the meridians. Performed fully clothed.

FAQs

Yes. A 2018 meta-analysis in The Journal of Pain (Vickers et al.), pooling data from nearly 20,000 patients, found acupuncture produces meaningful pain relief beyond placebo for chronic pain conditions including back, neck, and joint pain, with effects that persist over time.

Loose, comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area being treated — shorts for legwork, a short-sleeve top for shoulders or arms. No special preparation is needed.

Most people feel little to no pain. Needles are hair-thin, and many describe a mild tingling, heaviness, or warmth rather than discomfort.

Yes — sessions are designed to complement your training and recovery, not replace it, and are scheduled around your existing plan.

Your first session starts with a conversation about the issue you're seeking treatment for, followed by a review of your medical history and a physical examination. From there, a personalized treatment plan is built — which may include acupuncture, therapeutic massage, dietary guidance, and lifestyle adjustments.

It depends on how long-standing and severe the condition is. Acute issues often respond within 1–2 sessions a week, while chronic conditions call for ongoing weekly care. Most plans start with 4–6 sessions, after which progress is reviewed together.

A light meal about two hours beforehand is recommended, along with comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Since treatment usually focuses on the limbs, there's no need to undress fully.

Driving home afterward is fine. It's best to skip intense exercise right after a session, though, so your body has time to fully absorb the treatment.

Yes — acupuncture can help support the immune system while you're fighting an infection, and can ease symptoms like a runny nose, sneezing, and muscle aches.

Sensation varies from person to person. You may notice a brief tingling, mild ache, or slight pinch as the needle goes in, but most people find sessions comfortable and even relaxing.
