Osteopathy is a hands-on form of manual therapy that looks at the body as one connected system. Rather than chasing a single sore spot, an osteopath assesses how your joints, muscles, fascia and nervous system work together, and treats the areas that are restricting your movement.
Treatment is gentle, specific and tailored to you: soft-tissue work, joint mobilisation, stretching and, where appropriate, precise manipulation, combined with practical advice you can use between sessions.
Book an AssessmentRelieves back, neck, shoulder and hip pain and stiffness, often at its source rather than just where you feel it.
Restores mobility and range of motion, so everyday movement and training both feel easier.
Improves posture and movement quality, reducing the strain that builds up from desk work, training and daily habits.
Eases muscle tension and supports healthy circulation, helping tissue recover and adapt.
Calms an overworked nervous system, which many people notice as better relaxation and sleep.
Works alongside your training and other FITQOR recovery, rather than in isolation.

Healthspan is the number of years you live well: moving freely, training, travelling and playing with your family without pain holding you back. Lifespan is how long you live; healthspan is how much of it you actually enjoy.
Movement is the foundation of that. Small restrictions in a hip, spine or shoulder quietly change how you move, and pain makes people move less, which speeds the loss of strength, balance and mobility. Regular osteopathic care helps you spot and resolve those restrictions early, so you keep training and stay independent as the decades pass.
At FITQOR it pairs naturally with strength training, our Wellness Age Assessment and recovery tools such as the infrared sauna and cold plunge.

Both are hands-on, evidence-informed approaches to musculoskeletal health. Osteopathy tends to look at the body as a whole and relies more on manual techniques, while physiotherapy often places more emphasis on exercise-based rehabilitation. At FITQOR the two work well together.
Treatment should not be painful. You may feel pressure or a stretching sensation, and some people feel mildly sore or tired for a day afterwards, similar to after a workout. Tell your osteopath at any point if something is uncomfortable.
It depends on what we are treating. Many people feel a difference after one to three sessions, while ongoing performance and healthspan care is often scheduled monthly. Your osteopath will give you a clear plan after your first assessment.

No. It complements it. If we find something that needs a doctor or further investigation, we will tell you and refer you on.
